Welcome to Your Digital Hub

Discord is more than just a chat app; it's a virtual space where our community "lives." Think of our server like a multi-room house where there is always something happening in a different room.

🌈 Why You'll Love It

Unlike slow email or messy group chats, Discord lets you see who is "in the room" in real-time. It’s the closest thing to an office or a coffee shop without leaving your home.

Navigating the Server

What are "Channels"?

On the left sidebar, you’ll see rooms starting with a # (Text Channels) or a 🔊 (Voice Channels).

  • #announcements: Where we post the big news.
  • #general-chat: For daily banter and saying hi.
  • 🔊 Coworking: Where we go to Body Double and get work done together.
Joining a Voice Channel (Body Doubling)

Simply click the name of a voice channel (like "Coworking") once. You are now "in."

Your Rules, Your Way:

  • Camera: Completely optional. Many keep it off to save energy.
  • Microphone: Use the "Mute" button at the bottom left if you just want to listen or work in silence.
  • Checking In: You don't have to announce yourself immediately. You can just join, work, and leave when you are done.
Using Leo the Lion (Pomodoro Bot)

Leo is our resident timekeeper. He helps us stay disciplined using the Pomodoro Technique (work hard, break hard).

Common Commands:

  • !pomodoro - Starts a standard 25-minute work session and 5-minute break.
  • !pomodoro 50 10 - Sets a custom 50-minute work session.

Leo will automatically join the voice channel and play a chime when it's time to rest!

Advanced Power Tweaks

Noise Suppression (The Krisp Magic)
Is your dog barking or your fan blowing? Click the gear icon (Settings) > Voice & Video > Scroll down to Krisp. Turn it on. It uses AI to remove every sound except your voice. It’s literally magic.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Press Ctrl + K (or Cmd + K) to open the "Quick Switcher." Type the name of any channel to teleport there instantly.
